Condition

There appears to be two tiny old frame abrasions to the surface of the tempera at the extreme lower and upper left edges of the composition, not visible in the present frame. On extremely close examination there are some tiny losses at the centre left, the lower right and the centre of the composition. There appears to be a very small area of water damage in between the lower leaves. On extremely close inspection there is a small surface scratch in the lower left quadrant. Subject to the above the work appears to be in very good overall condition. Ultraviolet light reveals no obvious signs of retouching. The work is presented in a wooden frame.
