Condition
The piece could also have been made in France and is in country house condition. The back left corner of the marble top has been broken and crudely restored. There are losses to some of the veneers and areas of polish.The gilt-brass mounts could benefit from cleaning. The escutcheons are later and there is evidence of the former escutcheons. The key drawer pulls have been severed. Old marks and scratches throughout consistent with age and use.
