This work is in generally good condition. This work has been re-lined. The canvas is well-stretched. Frame abrasion is present and visible along each edge of the canvas. Moreover, there is paint loss to the upper left edge, the upper right edge and to the lower left corner. Craquelure is present throughout, and is specifically visible in the faces of the figures. Under ultraviolet inspection, a layer of varnish is visible on the overall work. Additionally, in-painting is visible throughout the work, more specifically as scattered specks throughout the faces of the figures and as a quarter-of-an-inch border along each edge.
