Condition

Good condition for an object of this type and age. Marks, nicks, small chips, scratches and abrasions throughout consistent with age and use. Crack through proper right side of dome, pierced and bound with wire loops (native repair). The head held on to the neck with two metal plates and a metal band and nails, as customary for this type of object. An age crack to the proper right cheek extending into the mouth with old metal staples (native repair), over-patinated with encrustation. Very fine blackened and partially crusty patina. Numerous holes in the ears for attachments, some chipping to these holes. Proper right ear with red string and two blue-green glass beads. The underside with a square metal sleeve for base pin and another hole drilled beside it.
