Very good condition for an object of this age and type. Permanently mounted on base with posts inserted into lateral wings as shown in catalogue photograph. Minor nicks, marks, scratches and abrasions from age and use. Surface pit to top right in decoration, probably from an original flaw in the wood, as the sculptor left this triangular section undecorated. Minor horizontal age cracks at nail holes in wings from previous attachment to chair. Center element of coiffure on reverse possibly reduced. Area of lightened patina on reverse under remains of an old label. Fine dark brown patina.
