Condition

Good condition for an object of this type and age. Minor marks, nicks, scratches, and abrasions consistent with age and use. Mouth rubbed. Top braid with old loss, patinated over. Age crack running from base of top braid down left side of neck. Another age crack at back of neck running through back of pulley. Surface damage (insect?) to front of neck. All of the above mentioned cracks/damages are filled in with residue. Pierced under top braid (filled with residue) and just below this on the proper right side. Extremely fine blackened patina with residue. Surface possibly waxed. Fixed to base with wood pegs. Painted in white "B79" on one side of pulley inside.
