Condition
The canvas has been relined, but this has not overly flattened the paint surface.
The paint surface is dirty and under an old varnish. The detail of the painting is well preserved. No major damages are discernible to the naked eye.
Inspection under UV light reveals fairly extensive scattered retouchings to the sky and shadows but fewer to the centre of the painting.
Offered in a gilt wood frame which is rather dirty and knocked but structurally sound.
