STRUCTURE The canvas has been lined. PAINT SURFACE The painting appears to be in fair condition, though the paint is worn overall and thin in places. There is scuffing and minor damage in the lower section, especially lower left, and discoloured and crazed varnish overall. There is also some visible retouching to the cost.mes , predominantly to one area in the lower left. ULTRAVIOLET Examination under ultraviolet light confirms scattered minor retouching in the lower half of the picture. FRAME Held in a gold painted wooden frame.
