Both canvases have been relined, which has not overly flattened their paint surfaces. The paint surfaces of both paintings are clean, with a fine craquelure running throughout. The colours of the paintings remain vibrant and both have been covered in a glossy varnish. No major damages are visible to either work. Inspection under UV is impeded in parts by the reflective varnish. However, it does reveal fairly extensive strengthenings and scattered retouchings to the flowers and the background in both paintings.
