Condition
Overall very good condition. This is a superb example of the intricacy of Sandoz's decorative work. Executed in lacquer and silver, the outer surfaces of the box remain in excellent condition showing only very minor rubbings
. One of the short edges of the box closes properly but fastens with a very minor gap. The interior with evidence of prior cleaning and light tarnish and an isolated area of adhesive residue. A spectacular example among the cigarette boxes made by Gerard Sandoz.
