Catalogue Note
A la conception cubiste qui le caractérise - le visage stylisé en une succession de plans légèrement inclinés - s'ajoute la force des traits resserrés, au dessin incisif. cf. LaGamma (2007 : 237 à 239) pour des œuvres stylistiquement apparentées ; et Chaffin (1979 : 146) pour une autre, conservée au British Museum. Ce style, dont le corpus est comparativement rare, a été attribué par Louis Perrois aux sculpteurs Obamba (cf. LaGamma, idem). Le dos est orné de deux triangles adossés, sculptés en haut relief. Patine brune, profonde, du bois.
