Condition
The sculpture is in very good condition. The gold reflective surface is in very good condition. Several tiny pits in the surface were observed which are due to porosity in the cast. A small faint 1/2" long horizontal scratch in the patina was noted on the back of the sculpture on the left buttock. On the lower proper right leg there is a 1/4" diameter chaplet that appears slightly more copper colored. It is a foundry plug that is inherent in the cast. A 1/8" horizontal shallow nick in the bronze was found on the center of the front of the head. No other significant scratches or abrasions were observed on the surface. The artist's signature can be found on the back of the figure near the base. The sculpture is structurally sound.
