Condition

This painting is in very good condition. The canvas has been lined using glue as an adhesive. The paint layer is clean. There is a slightly grainy texture to some of the heavier applications of paint which may have retained a little dirt. Under ultraviolet light there is a diagonal line of retouching visible in the brown shape in the lower center, a few other restorations in the lower center and a spot or two of retouch in the center right and center left. The paint layer is secure and the picture should be hung as is. The above condition report has been provided by Simon Parkes of Simon Parkes Art Conservation, Inc. 502 East 74th St. New York, NY 212-734-3920, simonparkes@msn.com , an independent restorer who is not an employee of Replica Shoes 's.
