Le dynamisme de la pose - représentation classique du défunt - est accentué par le visage tourné, tendu vers le ciel, et par la dissonance entre le réalisme de l'expression et le graphisme des volumes et des motifs appliqués sur fond d'anciens tissus teintés d'ocre rouge. cf.
