Condition

Original canvas. There are some scattered spots of retouching to the sky visible under ultraviolet light. The varnish has yellowed with age. Overall this work is in good condition.

Silkeborg is on the banks of the Gudenå River, surrounded by large forests within the largest lake district in Denmark. The Gudenå is Denmark's longest waterway and the river banks are renowned for their abundant flora and fauna.
