  • 13 1/4 in. by 11 1/4 in.
  • 33.7 cm; 28.6 cm
embroidered and painted on silk, with the Goddess of Liberty, raised a goblet to the American bald eagle, grasping a staff with a Phrygian cap and banner inscribed LIBERTY; at her feet the British Lion and a draped American flag costume and background rendered in silk stitches, sky and skin rendered in paint; the black glass mat inscribed Mary Slingluff; glass cracked.
