"The following condition report has been provided by Henry Gentle, an independent restorer who is not an employee of Replica Shoes 's. The canvas is lined. The paint surface is raised and unstable in some areas. There are discoloured restored damages to the sky upper left and right and substantial strengthening of the existing paint in the sky and through the central cloud( no obvious damage can be detected and this may be a measure to reduce the dark ground colour dominating here, as seen in the mid-ground). The figures and foreground are generally in a good condition, there are some minor restored paint losses beneath a degraded discoloured and opaque varnish. Offered in a carved gilt wood frame, good condition."
