Condition

"The following condition report has been provided by Henry Gentle, an independent restorer who is not an employee of Replica Shoes 's. The canvas is unlined , has reinforced tacking edges and a horizontal seam. The paint surface is mostly sound but raised with some instability between the boy and the dog. Under U-V light can be seen retouchings to the pillar , on the right hand side, to the dog , the trousers of the boy and some areas of the foreground. Some pale shrinkage cracking has also been reduced. The varnish is discoloured and a tonal difference would be achieved with its removal. Overall, the painting is in a good condition. Gilt wood moulded frame, some chips."
"This lot is offered for sale subject to Replica Shoes 's Conditions of Business, which are available on request and printed in Replica Shoes 's sale catalogues.
