"The following condition report has been provided by Henry Gentle, an independent restorer who is not an employee of Replica Shoes 's. The painting is lined, the paint surface is generally in a stable condition but is raised with one or two areas of flaking. There are some restored losses to the edges of the painting and through the plinth. Under U-V light a scattering of retouchings can be seen through the reds and whites of the flowers. There is some slight abrasion to the glazes of the flowers but on the whole the painting is in a good condition with the impasto well preserved. A slight tonal improvement would be achieved by removing the varnish."
