Description

the six-plate russet iron helmet with iron mabizashi (visor) decorated with a high-relief decoration of constellation and clouds, the four-stage ita-jikoro (neck guard) covered with leather with small fukigaeshi (blow back) and relief mon (family crest) of hanabishi (flower lozenges) with prominent rope type fukurin, fitted with a later gilt suhama pierced round maedate (helmet frontal decoration) and a bronze kuwagata (frontal horn like decoration), the interior of the bowl signed and decorated in gold

Condition

Iron bowl has some minor scratches and patina of some uneven area, some parts of shikoro (neck guards) needs relacing, maedate (horn type front decoration) needs to be fixed, otherwise good condition.
