Description

the openwork carving depicting a cornucopia of lotus, grapes, chrysanthemum and lingzhi fungus among a web of stalks and leaves, elegantly culminating in the mouth carved as a lotus leaf to the interior and exterior, the horn of a golden-amber tone, with a wood stand carved with a tiger battling three figures against lingzhi, trees and rockwork (2)

Condition

There is a diamond-shape restuck piece on the mouth rim 3 inches wide; a semi-circular restuck piece to the opposite side of the rim 1 1/2 inches wide; and another diamond-shape restuck piece 2 inches wide. The interior has approximately 20 small circular patches, the exterior of the mouth with around a dozen, presumably to fill in insect bores. Some minor stalks appear to have been restuck.
