Description

the globular body with tall flared neck, on a low slightly splayed foot, the body decorated with four roundels enclosing a confronting dragon and phoenix, reserved against a ruby-red ground accented with double-gourd foliate scrolls, a lappet border above the foot, the wide yellow-ground collar decorated with bats, clouds and quatrefoil reserves featuring finger citron, chrysanthemum, rose and pomegranate, a keyfret band at the neck below stylized blades pointing to further bats and clouds, the top register of the neck with a band of ruyi-head clouds, diamond diaper-ground borders at the rim and foot

There is a restored chip to the mouth rim approximately 2 1/2 inches. The gilding around the mouth rim is worn. Enamels are good. In good overall condition.
