the gently curved sides rising to an everted lip, the exterior decorated with four gilt-bordered roundels enclosing vases of flowers, suspended lanterns and precious antiques, divided by stylized flowerheads picked out in pink, blue, green and yellow enamel on a ruby-ground incised with scrollwork, the interior in underglaze-blue with four large lanterns encircling an octagonal medallion with radiating tassels in the well

The bowl is in good condition, only exception is a 4 mm chip to the mouth rim.
