Description

  • height 8 1/4in. (21cm)
tapered cylindrical, engraved with arms in baroque cartouche, the lower body embossed with acanthus and palm, handle applied with rat-tail terminating in a ring, the flat-dome cover chased with garland and with lion couchant thumbpiece, base engraved with initials E over W*M, marked on body and cover

Condition

some overall wear to high spots, later arms circa 1720-30, some excess solder on right of handle and near hinge but can be cleaned up, otherwise good condition
