Condition
Colours: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate although overall the tonality is much brighter in the original, especially in the pink areas.
Condition: This work is in very good condition. The plexiglasss has a very small, stable horizontal crack in the lower left corner tip. There is a minute paint loss in the upper left and upper right corners. There is an unobtrusive matrix of very small and stable craquelure in the left section of the figure's hair adjacent to the frame, and also in some of the pink paint above the right side of her mouth. The plexiglass has some tiny dimples to the surface which are inherent and original to the work. There are some scatterd tiny specks between the paint surface and the plexiglass which appear to be original. There is light superficial dirt adhering to the surface in places around the edges. All of the above are unobtrusive and only visible upon very close inspection.
