Condition
Colours: The red colour in the catalogue illustration tends more to a rich plum hue in the original work and the pale areas have a slightly darker tone.
Condition: This work is in very good condition. Adjacent to the centre of the left vertical edge there are several minute white specks of media adhering to the surface, and one more to the upper centre of the composition. In the lower right quadrant and also in places above the bottom edge there are several scattered near-transparent stains which appear to be original to the work's execution and inherent to the artist's working process. When examined under raking light there is a very faint diagonal rub mark towards the lower right corner.
