Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate although the black is slightly less intense in the original work. Condition: This work is in very good condition. There is minor wear with associated tiny paint losses to the corner edges and in several places along the extreme turnover edges. Upon close inspection there are some scattered faint rub marks, most notably parallel to the right hand vertical edge and also beneath the red tongue. Upon very close inspection there are some scattered superficial specks of dust adhering to the surface, as well as some minute fly spots. There is also a small brown media stain to the tooth second from the right in the creature's lower jaw, and several tiny media accretions adjacent to the '+' in the upper right corner. There is no retouching apparent when examined under ultraviolet light.
