Finest & Rarest Wines | Great American Collections

The auction features an extraordinary range of Bordeaux across benchmark vintages and formats, led by full original wooden cases of 1975 Petrus, 1982 Mouton Rothschild, 1990 Latour, 1990 Margaux, and 1982 Ducru Beaucaillou. Additional highlights include bottles of 1999 Petrus and further examples of 1982, with Latour and Pichon Lalande. Château Haut-Brion is well-represented with vintages spanning 1966 through 2008, while La Mission Haut-Brion shines with a series of 1980s classics, including 1982, 1985, 1986, and 1989. Rounding out the selection, Château Palmer appears in breadth from 1970 through 2020, complemented by rare lots of the estate’s Historical Nineteenth Century Blend.

Classics of Bordeaux

A superb array of Bordeaux in large formats anchors the sale, highlighted by Imperials of Lafite across 2006–2018, Latour 2011, Margaux 2010 and 2018, and Mouton Rothschild 2018. Petrus stands out with Imperials from 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2013, complemented by rare double magnums. Further highlights include Imperials of Ausone, Cheval Blanc, Angélus and Léoville Las Cases, as well as scarce large-format offerings from Lafleur, La Violette, and Le Tertre Rôteboeuf.

Monumental Imperials: Part III

Burgundy’s treasures are well represented in this sale, and in a remarkable breadth of vintages as well. Gems such as 1976 Comte de Vogüé Musigny, 1984 Henri Jayer Cros Parantoux, and 1985 Clos de la Roche from Domaine Ponsot vie for attention with other standouts such as 1990 Domaine Leroy Les Narbantons, both 1995 and 2018 Chambertin from Armand Rousseau, or a Jeroboam of 2018 Chambertin from Dujac. White Burgundy is well represented with Corton Charlemagne leading the way, the 2018 vintage from Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey and the 2020 vintage from Domaine de la Romanée-Conti. Mugneret-Gibourg, Faiveley, Georges Roumier and Perrot Minot are also not to be missed, showing the depth of the selection on offer here.

Burgundy Rarities

Champagne is well represented, highlighted by an exceptional array of Dom Pérignon 1990 across multiple 12-bottle cases, complemented by rare Dom Pérignon Rosé 1986. Veuve Clicquot La Grande Dame appears in depth, notably in extensive case quantities from the 1990 vintage, alongside rarities such as the 1989 and Rosé 1988. Collectors will also find Louis Roederer Cristal in bottle and magnum across the 1990, 1995, and 1996 vintages, Bollinger Grande Année 1985 and 1990, and further prestige cuvées from Pol Roger, Perrier-Jouët, and Ulysse Collin.

Aged Champagne Selections

Sine Qua Non is featured in extraordinary depth, with vintages spanning 2011 through 2021. Nearly all selections were purchased off allocation, stored in a state-of-the-art cellar, and are offered in pristine original wooden cases. Highlights include Patine, Stein and Stock, alongside the highly coveted Jusq’à L’Os and Le Supplément, with Testa dei Cherubini and Capo dei Putti adding further range. Many of these wines are available in magnum, providing rare opportunities for collectors. The offering is further enhanced by a vertical of Next of Kyn from 2016 to 2021, underscoring the breadth of this remarkable California collection.

Pristine Selections from the Cult Classic

Additional highlights include Rhône legends Rayas 1978 and Guigal’s 1985 La Mouline, alongside California classics Joseph Phelps Eisele Vineyard 1985 and 1986. Penfolds Grange appears in original six-pack wooden cases from 2000 and 2001, while Italy is led by Sassicaia spanning 1999 to 2008 and Masseto from 2002, 2003 and 2005, also in original wood. Further rarities include a lot of 2008 Soldera and Bruno Giacosa’s 1996 Asili di Barbaresco Riserva. California icons continue with two bottles of 1997 Screaming Eagle and white wine highlights from Marcassin and Aubert, including magnums of Aubert Lauren Vineyard Chardonnay 2008–2010 and Marcassin Gauer Upper Barn from the early 1990s.
