A favourite of the artist which was exhibited at the Nara's two most significant retrospectives,,&nbsp;I Want to See the Bright Lights Tonight&nbsp;has become synonymous with Yoshitomo Nara’s mature painterly practice. Joining this work is the captivating&nbsp;Le Peintre&nbsp;by Pablo Picasso. Brimming with painterly verve,&nbsp;Le Peintre&nbsp;is both an exuberant homage to the craft Picasso devoted his life to and a reflective exploration of his identity as an artist. Recently included in the prestigious Fondation Beyeler exhibition, this work portrays one of the great motifs that dominated Picasso’s late œuvre - that of the artist at work.
