An outstanding collects ion of wines from Domaine de La Romanée-Conti featuring highly exceptional coveted cases - all in their original wooden boxes - spanning 1990 through 2009. All the wines were acquired on release directly from the Domaine and cellared in professional temperature-controlled storage, until being transported in June 2022 through a dedicated air shipment directly to Crown Wine Cellars in Hong Kong. All the cases were sealed with the original bands from the Domaine until inspection by Replica Shoes ’s specialists.

Romanée Conti 2009 DRC (3 BT)

It is interesting that in 1850 Romanée-Conti was estate bottled - then this ceased for a period and restarted in 1911. Thus, the essence of Romanée-Conti was captured but, in my view, never t.mes d! It is a wild, extraordinary wine, unpredictable and constantly mutating as it matures, but always true to its indubitably great self. The care lavished on Romanée-Conti is shown to all the wines of the Domaine, but the breed and refinement in the taste of Romanée-Conti would point to an indefinable "something extra" in this 1.80 ha plot. - Serena Sutcliffe, MW

La Tâche 2009 Domaine de la Romanée-Conti (6 BT)

75% of the vineyard is constituted from grafts of the Romanée-Conti vineyard. The vineyard is a monopole, the Domaine acquiring what is, today, the La Tâche vineyard in 1933 and henceforth recognized as AC La Tâche in 1936. Why do I love La Tâche? Well, plums and roses and deep, plush velvet fruit is the reason. The texture is always thicker than Romanée-Conti. - Serena Sutcliffe, MW

The Domaine owns just over one-half of this vineyard which it purchased from the Marey-Monge family in 1988, having previously managed the vineyard for the family since 1966. The vineyard holdings were replanted over a number of years and the wines have greater concentration, less sharp tannins and more fat. Grands Echézeaux 2009 Domaine de la Romanée-Conti (6 BT)

The Domaine owns fully one-third of this vineyard. Along with La Tâche, Grands Echézeaux is the other vineyard where the Domaine is practising biodynamic viticulture. The Domaine owns one-seventh of this vineyard. The rock structure that underpins Echézeaux is immensely complicated, with lower Bathonian and upper Bajocian limestones in constant interplay. First produced by the Domaine in 1964, but the first vintage to be released was 1965. Partially based on soil analysis by the agronomist Claude Bourguignon, the Domaine has reintroduced ploughing with horses in both Le Montrachet and Romanée-Conti.
