This 1921 silent film celebrates its 100th anniversary this year, and becomes an official antique.

Fewer than ten of these posters have surfaced to-date.

Adventures of Tarzan is a silent 1921 serial which has fifteen chapters. The stories were based on the Tarzan novels by Edgar Rice Burroughs. The first chapter was released on the 1st December 1921. Each week another chapter would be released until its conclusion on the 9th March 1922. Elmo Lincoln was the first actor to play Tarzan, and in this serial he returned to his much heralded role for the final time. Lincoln was unable to portray Tarzan bare-chested, and had to wear an over-the-shoulder costume to meet the censorship requirements of the time.
