This was always bound to be a winner, given the quality of Pomerol in this vintage which is increasingly evident with each tasting. Everything is in this - it is a very big wine. Exotic and yet pure, truffley and yet classic, this is beautifully delineated Petrus and an incredible, and worthy, comparison with the 2000. The rich, thick texture will see it through the decades with supreme ease. Serena Sutcliffe, MW
