centred with stylised swirling foliage, bordered by elongated palmettes in green and black within oval reserves, the gilt rim painted with a band of simulated red and green jewels, the foot with gilt band, both with blue crowned cypher for Nicholas I and red Kremlin Palace inventory numbers
