probably a replacement plate for the Cameo Service made for Catherine the Great at Sevres, the cavetto with the floriated cipher of Empress Catherine II within ribbon-tied sprigs of laurel and myrtle, alternating pale-blue and white grounds, the border with three oval reserves painted en grisaille with classical busts, divided by gilt scrollwork, gilt scalloped border, apparently unmarked
