3x12 speaker cabinet (40 x 15 x 12’’) of black painted plywood and wood, heavy aluminum speaker lugs, 3 JBL speakers, original black marine supply custom sewn sailcloth protective slipover cover for cabinet with plywood speaker cover inside sailcloth sleeve.

A further innovation in the Dead’s live set up, the speakers used in later years had heavy cloth covers made by a San Francisco manufacturer of sails and fitted plywood speaker covers.
