In 1981, Girard-Perregaux undertook a remarkable horological challenge: to recreate twenty examples of its 19th-century Tourbillon with Three Gold Bridges, crafted to be identical to the originals. Using one of the historic pieces preserved in the Girard-Perregaux Museum, the manufacture redrafted every component, reviving nearly forgotten artisanal techniques in the process.
Having mastered this faithful re-edition, the brand sought an even greater challenge, miniaturizing the legendary movement for the wrist. In 1991, after years of meticulous development, Girard-Perregaux unveiled the first wristwatch version of the Tourbillon with Three Gold Bridges, distinguished by its inverted architecture, displaying the iconic bridges on the dial side.
This masterpiece exemplifies the maison’s unrivalled craftsmanship and innovation, combining traditional hand-finishing with modern precision.
Accompanied by its original presentation box and Certificate, this exceptional timepiece offers collectors a wonderful opportunity to acquire a symbol of Girard-Perregaux’s enduring artistry and technical virtuosity.
