The end scenes of Painting and Sculpture appear on a box in a private collection on the following page, fig. 35. The central scene described as a scene from La Fontaine after Boucher, may be found on a box illus. fig 27. However, it has been subsequently identified as Richard de Quinzica disembarking with the ransom offered for his wife to the Corsair Pagamin. The scene on the left shows Paris adjudging the apple of peace to Hibernia in the presence of Britannia and on the right Britannia giving instruction to Hibernia for the Irish industries.
The shield held by Britannia bears the arms of Lionel Sackville, 1st Duke of Dorset, Lord Lieutenant of Ireland 1751-55.
