The model of our mirror is kept under the reference H.55 in the archives of the Max Welz.

Trained by a sculptor and a gilder, Max Welz was the head of a wooden decorative moulding and framework. He was a member of the Österreichischer Werkbund and collaborated after 1932 with numerous artists such as Dagobert Peche and Josef Hoffmann

Formé par un sculpteur et un doreur, Max Welz était à la tête d'une entreprise spécialisée dans les moulures décoratives en bois et les encadrements. Il était membre de l'Österreichischer Werkbund et collabora à partir de 1932 avec de nombreux artistes dont Dagobert Peche et Josef Hoffmann.
