Carmen Saint (Rio, 1917 – Paris, 2016), a Brazilian socialite who settled in Paris in 1943. She married Jorge Lage, then Daniel Saint. A friend of Hélène Rochas, Jacqueline Delubac, and Zozo de Ravenel, she was photographed by André Ostier, notably at the famous Bal des têtes. She is the mother of Betty Catroux.
Designed by Jean Schlumberger for Tiffany & Co. in the early 1960s, the Dot Losange bracelet belongs to the celebrated series of enamel bangles that came to define the designer’s work for the house. The articulated gold bracelet is decorated with alternating lozenge and raised dot motifs over vibrant paillonné enamel, a demanding technique in which translucent enamel is fired over gold foil to produce a luminous depth of colour.
Intended to be worn alone or stacked in contrasting hues, these bracelets embody the playful elegance and relaxed sophistication of 1960s jewellery design.
