This exceptional piece, now presented as a brooch, was originally part of an important necklace exhibited at the 1925 International Exhibition. The House of Leysen showcased a selection of Belgian-made jewels at the event, among which this chinoiserie-inspired necklace was a distinguished highlight.

Established in Brussels in 1855, Leysen is a distinguished Belgian jeweler, later developing strong ties with Antwerp’s diamond industry. The firm is recognized for its emphasis on quality stones and refined, well-proportioned designs.

Operating as Leysen Frères, the house was also appointed supplier to the Royal Court of Belgium, reflecting its longstanding reputation for reliability and high standards.
