Description

the bureau: rectangular, opening with three drawers, the frieze decorated with Vitruvian scroll motifs, the reverse of the frieze with a large sliding tray with a green morocco leather with gilt tooling, on tapering legs adorned with garlands and fitted with sabots, the top covered in morocco leather, stamped MONTIGNY and JME

the cartonnier: the upper section with a curved front, fitted with compartments lined in brown leather and surmounted by pinecone finials at the corners, the sides applied with Bacchus masks and rosettes, the lower plain section opening on each side with a drawer and a door, the inside with one shelf, the apron decorated with Vitruvian scroll motifs and rosettes, stamped MONTIGNY and JME on the reverse

the clock: the case in the form of a vase, surmounted by a leafy finial and flanked by large acanthus leaves, the plinth base resting on feet, stamped MONTIGNY and JME under the clock, the enamel dial and the movement signed MARTIN / A PARIS
