Pierre Brizard, carpenter, received master in 1772.
The production of Pierre Brizard is very limited, and very few of his pieces are sold on the market. The Metropolitan Museum of New York owns a fauteuil, circa 1790, in giltwood (inv. 26.227.1), quite similar to our set of six fauteuils, with mouldings of heart-shaped rays and beads. A very similar set of furniture stamped Pierre Brizard was sold at Coutau-Bégarie, 10 June 2002, lot 157 (sold 100 000€).
