A tanto koshirae [sword mount] with Otsu-e figures
Edo – Showa period, 19th – 20th century
the red and black lacquer saya with various fittings inlaid in silver, including a kozuka [knife handle] depicting a yarimochi yakko [standard bearer] in Otsu-e style, the blade signed, the interior of the slide in leather, above a plaque depicting catfish, the reverse with an oni emerging through cloud, the tsuka with gold menuki with Wisteria Maiden (fuji-museume), the reverse with a young man holding a hawk
