KINGSLEY AMIS'S COPY, with extensive annotations to the text, and two sheets of manuscript notes inserted. Amis was a colleague of Ian Fleming and a fellow Cape author, who proofread the novel for the publisher. This copy was also used by Amis when compiling The James Bond Dossier (Cape, 1965).
