A large German parcel-gilt silver cup and cover, the cup, Heinrich Staub, the cover, Jeremias Ritter, Nurnberg, circa 1620
the lobed cup on a spreading lobed foot, the stem with scroll brackets and silver foliage calyx, the rim engraved with exotic birds within foliage scrolls, the cover lobed and with a later finial cast as a bishop, the base applied with a plaque engraved with an inscription M?DEÜLL.CVS.TOS and with the date 1711
