Housed in a period painted frame with verse inscribed in the lower margin: Fresh as the grass fur bodies stand, And flourish bright and gay, A blasting wine Sweeps over the land, And fades the grass away. Drawing illustrates Aesop’s fable “The Fox and the Grapes.”
