Composed of multiple sections assembled to form the torso of a man; coming apart to reveal a lapis lazuli cabochon and a mesh ring of the phallus, ring size K, signed Berrocal; circa 1970.

Spanish sculptor Miguel Ortiz Berrocal (1933-2006) was best known for his puzzle sculptures, which range in scale from the miniascule to the monumental. These works could be disassembled into many abstract pieces, often concealing miniature artworks or pieces of jewellery within them (such as the ring incorporated into the present lot).
