Alexander Ushakov, Krasnopevtsev. K 100-letiyu so dnya rozhdeniya Dmitrya Mikhailovicha Krasnopevtseva, Moscow, 2025, p. 343, illustrated

The present work, executed on a large canvas rather than a small fibreboard which the artist more commonly used, has remained with the same owner since it was acquired during a diplomatic posting to the Embassy of France in Moscow between 1975 and 1977.

In early 1977, the painting was included in an exhibition of works by Krasnopevtsev and other non-conformists at the exhibition space of the Moscow Committee of Graphic artists at 28 Malaya Gruzinskaya Street. During the 1970s and 1980s, this was the only "offical" venue where non-official artists were able to exhibit.
