Harvest from 14 September to 28 September and a generous 42hl/hectare produced. They recorded 14.9% in the Merlot from clay this year. 50% Cabernet Franc, 50% Merlot. In 2021, this has great freshness and charm on the nose, surprisingly young - although this is a feature of the best 2000s. On the palate, plummy fruitiness and finesse of texture make it so drinkable now, while waiting for the cherries and leather to develop further. Serena Sutcliffe, MW

Provenance

The knowledgeable owner of this magnificent collection offers a rare opportunity for buyers to acquire wines with impeccable provenance. The wines were purchased mostly from Replica Shoes ’s Auctions over the years, such as 2000 to 2009 Cheval Blanc magnums from The Cheval Blanc Collection NY in April 2012; and 2000 to 2005 Domaine Leflaive Grand Crus from "The Andrew Lloyd Webber Wine Collection" in January 2011. All still in their original wooden cases. Other highlights include DRC Echezeaux 2004 magnums, Domaine du Comte Liger-Belair Golden Dragon Collection 2008, Domaine Leroy Chambertin 1993, Comte Georges de Vogüé Musigny Cuvée Vieilles Vignes 2007 and Latour 2000. Part of a larger collection, professionally stored prior to inspection, property of a gentleman.
