This is an early preliminary study for a figure in Grant’s large panel (one of three) intended for installation in the First Class Lounge of RMS Queen Mary. In the final panel the male figure, wearing a red loin cloth, plays the cymbals in the artist’s evocation of the Spanish dance, the seguidilla.
